Power Rankings: Week 3

Here is the first edition of my weekly power rankings. Enjoy!

1. Patriots:2-0
Come on. Brady to Moss, Stallworth, and Welker. With a defense that just shut San Diego down. Thats ridiculous
2. Colts: 2-0
We all know that the offense will be great. The defense has showed signs of being pretty good the first 2 weeks. Is that a fluke, or is that what the 2007 Colts defense will look like all year.
3. Cowboys: 2-0
These guys could go far. And playing in the NFC only sweetens their chances. But, questions still linger. I think as of right now, they're the best team in the NFC.
4. Chargers: 1-1
Sure, the offense has started out slow. But you know LT's gonna get it going soon, and the Chargers will once again become an offensive powerhouse.
5. Steelers: 2-0
What the Steelers have to do: 1. Continue to be aggressive on offense. 2. Continue to play fierce on defense under Mike Tomlin. 3. Do every possible thing to keep Big Ben away from any motorcycles.
6. Bears: 1-1
Does anyone realize that without Devin Hester, the Bears would have gone to overtime against the Chiefs last week? But with that defense, going to the playoffs in the NFC is certain. Oh, and great news. Rex is going to cut down on making bad throws. You just figured that out, huh genius?
7. Broncos:2-0
Some would call it pathetic. But you know what I call it when Denver has to rely on 2 late field goals and a timely time out to win 2 games against 2 0-2 teams? Being 2-0.
8. Packers:2-0
Look out. With the skillful youth on that defense, and Brett Farve looking like he's in his prime, and not the guy in the Wrangler commercial, the Packers are a dangerous team in the NFC. And other great news. Farve isn't going to have constant back spasms from having to carry 52 people over the coarse of the season. They really are a good running game short of going to the superbowl. If they can get one......
9. Ravens: 1-1
We all know the defense is one of the best in the NFL. But can Steve McNair not look like he's a 90 year old man walking with a cane? And can Willis McGahee really push that offense forward. Stay tuned, stay tuned.
10. Texans: 2-0
Good news. I'm not automatically not paying attention to Charley Casserly on the NFL Today for not drafting Reggie Bush anymore. Can Schaub continue to take this team to the next level. I think so.
11. Seahawks: 1-1
The Seahawks should now realize that they're not the only good team in the NFC West, and that they are not automatically in the playoffs.
12. 49ers: 2-0
Vernon Davis wants more aggressive play calling for the offense. Why? When you have frank Gore, and an improving, young defense, you don't need to.
13. Lions: 2-0
No knock on Jon Kitna, he's my boy. But when you come to tears after beating the Vikings in a week 2 match-up, you really need to check out where you are as a player and as a team. Are the Lions for real? They have the QB, DT's, and WR's, but do they have a secondary, running game, and offensive line?
14. Redskins: 2-0
Joe Gibbs isn't already paying attention to NASCAR yet. His boys are still in it. And I think that they're a playoff team. Jason Cambell will continue to improve, the running game should be sound, and the offensive line and receivers will make strides. The question for me is pass rushing and run stopping. That and the quarterback play, but I think that'll be fine.
15. Bengals: 1-1
Chuck Bresnahan, your defense just gave up 51 points to the Browns. What happened? "Well, I would only change 1 play in my game calling looking back at the tape." 'nuff said.
16. Panthers: 1-1
Mike Rucker, Kris Jenkins, and Julius Peppers. One sack. And not by them, but by Kindal Moorehead. Wow.
17. Cardinals: 1-1
Matt Leinart will continue to improve, just like every other young quarterback. The offensive line is finally looking not horrible with Russ Grim in Arizona. And they still have 2 elite receivers. I hear Dennis Green is is currently working as the janitor at Phoenix University stadium, and is confused why the microphone in the pres room is not bent out of shape from being struck ferociously.
18. Jets: 0-2
Cheer when your starting quarterback goes tumbling to the ground. For shame. That basically tells what Jets fans want. They have a fever- and the only prescription is more Kellen Clemens.
19. Titans: 1-1
Vince Young is going back to pass. And Young throws a bomb to Young, who then laterals back to Young, who is now sprinting to the endzone. And Young is now in to kick the extra point. The stats so far: Young, Vince: 22-24, 310 yards, 4 touchdowns. 22 catchers, 310 yards, 4 touchdowns. 22 rushes, 150 yards, 2 touchdowns. 6/6 extra points. 3 interceptions, 25 passes defended. 2 forced fumbles. 2 recoveries.
20. Saints: 0-2
What up with the 'Aints? That right, the 'Aints. Prove me wrong 'Aints.
21. Eagles: 0-2
It would have been nice to draft McNabb a receiver. And not Kevin Kolb.
22. Rams: 0-2
Bulger, Jackson, Holt, and Bruce will come through soon. Although the loss of Orlando Pace really hurts them.
23. Buccaneers: 1-1
Who knows? In the NFC, anything is possible. Jeff Garcia could lead the Bucs to the playoffs. He has issued a formal complaint with the DMV of Florida, although. They took his Cadillac away.
24. Vikings: 1-1
I like Tavaris Jackson's potential, although I doubt he's going to be anything special this year.
25. Bills: 0-2
Very disappointing season so far. First the heartbreaking loss to Denver and then the blow-out playing the Steelers. No offensive firepower so far this year.
26. Jaguars: 1-1
The 20 fans in attendance in Jacksonville can watch a team with a bad quarterback, receivers, and offensive line ruin a good defense and rushing attack. the goal this year- Beat out the Florida Marlins in attendance.
27. Giants: 0-2
Awful defense. Awful rushing game. Don't cry Eli, we all still love you.
28. Browns: 1-1
So they got 51 points. Who wants to bet they don't get 40+ the rest of the season. 1 bad offensive performance, and the Brady Quinn bandwagon will get rolling again. It just took a 1 week long bathroom break. Never get chili from a hobo on the street.
29. Raiders: 0-2
Man, I got all excited for a Raiders victory over the Broncos. But Mr. I'm so great has to call a timeout.
30. Dolphins: 0-2
I mean, come on. How obvious was it to pick Brady Quinn with the 9th pick in the draft. And if you don't, fine. Don't take Ted Ginn Jr. Just don't. And also don't think Trent Green will do you any good. Life lessons, learned in Miami. Just take baby steps, and they'll have a winning team by 2020. YES!
31. Chiefs: 0-2
Did anyone think this team would compete. Damon Huard? A bad offensive line. A bad defense. A bad receiving group. But they have Larry Johnson.
32. Falcons: 0-2
Don't worry, Byron Leftwich will come and win at least 3 game with this team.
